Acoustic singer/songwriter Manny Garcia performed live this month in New York City. Besides traveling around the country for performances, Manny has also relaunched his website this month, right before his major show at Serenade with his band at the Chicago House of Blues.

This Fall, sexy model/actress Maggie Q will appear as Nikita on the CW. This is the first time an Asian American actress is chosen to play the lead of an American prime time television series. Needless to say, we can bet that the decision to cast Maggie Q for this role has a lot to do with her sex appeal and action stunts experience on screen. But besides those points, will she also impress us with her acting skills this time around?

Congratulations to pop/R&B artist, Baiyu, for signing a distribution deal with JMD Records, a subsidiary of INgrooves/Universal Music Group. In her latest press release, they stated that they have started recording in the studio, and they are planning to release a “groundbreaking” debut album digitally for Baiyu in the Fall/Winter of 2010.

This month, 24-year-old singer/songwriter Alfa appeared as a guest of fellow songwriter Manny Garcia at his live performance in the Philippine Center in New York City. Though the two artists share the same last name, they have clarified that they are not related in anyway. However they did jokingly say that they are long lost cousins.

After winning Kollaboration NY last month, New York indie band, PaperDoll, will soon be heading over to Shanghai to play at the World Expo and Frexh 2010. Recently, the band also made a live television appearance on FOX (Good Day New York morning show).
