The Wonder Girls, one of Korea’s hottest exports, and special guest 2PM performed for their first time at the Fillmore in San Francisco tonight to a sold out audience.  As part of their 2010 Wonder Girls World Tour, the five female singing sensations, Sun, Yenny, Sohee, Yubin, and Lim is currently touring America to promote their highly anticipated new single “2 Different Tears.”  heyyaa! was at the girl’s first ever San Francisco debut performance to bring you exclusive one on one interviews. The US audience got a sneak preview of the Wonder Girls in 2008 when the #1 entertainment blogger in the US, Perez Hilton featured not one, but two of their hit music videos on his blog site. Perez Hilton said, “So fab…we loves it!”  That same year, The Wonder Girls were featured on Virgin Media as one of the top 8 girl groups to watch in the world, along with the Pussycat Dolls, Girls Aloud and Danity Kane. Most recently, they were featured in People Magazine (April 2009) as one of the “leading Asian pop stars to cross over to the states.”

The Wonder Girls have accrued three #1 hit songs in Asia within the last two years, each having won an unprecedented amount of awards and digital downloads. They also have accrued over 20 endorsement deals with major brands such as Samsung and Baskin-Robbins.

In March of 2009, the “The 1st Wonder” Tour was the Wonder Girls’ first world tour, visited 3 US cities including New York, Orange County, and Los Angeles, as well as Bangkok, Seoul and Busan. The success of the Wonder Girls’ international tour and their massive global fan base showed that they were a force to be reckoned with.

Later that year in the Summer of 2009, the Wonder Girls opened for the Jonas Brothers on 45 of their highly successful “Jonas Brothers World Tour” shows.
