This Fall, sexy model/actress Maggie Q will appear as Nikita on the CW. This is the first time an Asian American actress is chosen to play the lead of an American prime time television series. Needless to say, we can bet that the decision to cast Maggie Q for this role has a lot to do with her sex appeal and action stunts experience on screen. But besides those points, will she also impress us with her acting skills this time around?

Born in Hawaii, and having worked in the Hong Kong entertainment industry for 9 years, Maggie Q built up an admirable resume playing roles in modern action films. Some of her most notable works include Mission: Impossible III (2006), Balls of Fury (2007), and Live Free or Die Hard (2007). This time around, Maggie will be playing a trained spy/assassin on television.

To attract viewer’s attention, the CW started to put up ads and billboards of a sexy Maggie Q in malls and busy streets. Today, a report has been circulating that some of the billboards are considered to be too racy by some businesses. Though not everyone has the same attitude regarding the ads, we can be sure you won’t miss the message (of a super sexy and dangerous assassin) if you see them in the malls.

The Nikita television series will premiere on Thursday, September 9, at 9/8c.
