Last Friday, New York-based rock band PaperDoll invaded San Francisco for the first time and rocked out on stage at Red Devil Lounge. Besides playing their latest hits such as “Anything At All”, “If Nothing Happened”, and “Beautiful Face”, PaperDoll also performed their two new singles live: “You Can’t Stop It” and “Can’t Concentrate”.
The band describes their sound as “kickass” and they are attempting to define the new “kickass dance rock” genre. After winning the top prize at Kollaboration New York last year, the band toured twice in China. After finally landing here in San Francisco, heyyaa! couldn’t resist the chance to talk to this busy band. We grabbed the opportunity to chat with the band backstage after their awesome show, and asked them about their impression of the audiences in China, their new music video, and their new single.
