San Francisco’s Funkanometry will be holding its 4th annual Sockhop this Saturday. This is a great event in the hip hop dance community where dancing companies from different parts of the country can come together for a friendly showcase and bonding experience. Last week, we went to visit the four dance companies under Funkanometry to see how they are doing at their practice rehearsal.
As a non-profit organization, Funkanometry promotes the art of hip hop dancing, the growth of the dance community, and leadership training through dance. We noticed that even on a late Sunday night, many devoted dancers can be found practicing together for the upcoming Sockhop. Here’s our video interview with some of the staff who are working behind the showcase this year:
And don’t forget to checkout the teaser trailer of the event:
We hope to see you there on Saturday, so if you haven’t bought the tickets yet, be sure to come early before the tickets are sold out.
