Last Saturday (6/25), hip hop dance company Funkanometry SF held its fourth annual Sockhop dancing showcase at the San Francisco Regency Center. Many dance companies participated at this fun-filled event and showed off their moves and grooves on stage. In order to get a closer look of this event, our very own Mae Cruz interviewed some of the dancers and performers on that night. If you missed the show last week, or if you want to know what happened behind the scenes, now you can check out our special video coverage below:

Part one features: Mischief Makers, The Company, Main Stack, Chapkis Dance & BreakEFX.

Part two features: Kaba Modern, Press P.L.A.Y., Funksters, and De La Femme.

Part three features: Passion, Common Ground, Kriesha, Funks SF, Project EM, and Funkanometry SF Medley.

Mae learned the “Passion Body Roll” from Jeremy Passion.

12-year-old Kriesha makes us wonder how a strong voice can be contained in such a small body.

Fans snatched some cool Sockhop/Funkanometry merchandise during intermission.

The show was wrapped after the medley performance by Funkanometry SF and their alumni.
